“The Debate is Over!”

It is.

There is now overwhelming scientific evidence that ‘global warming’ is pure fantasy and that CO2 does not cause rising temperatures, but follows them. Ice cores show that almost exactly 700 years after rising temperatures the amount of CO2 increases, and conversely when the temperature cools 700 years later CO2 decreases too.

CO2 is caused by temperature change, and Al Gore got it wrong – again.

The global warming lobby had their comeuppance in March this year when the New York debating society, Intelligence Squared, held a sponsored a debate on global warming.

Before the debate began a poll of the audience revealed that 57% believed that manmade global warming was a crisis compared to 29% who did not, and the other 14% were undecided.

Advocating the theory of global warming and the need to take immediate and drastic action were members of the Union of Concerned Scientists; NASA climate modeller Gavin Schmidt, Brenda Ekwurzel, Oceanographer Richard C.J. Somerville (California University)

On the global warming skeptics side were; Bio-geographer  Philip Stott (London University), Meteorologist Richard S. Lindzen (Massachusetts Institute of Technology),  Author Michael Crichton, a Harvard trained physician and an instructor at both Cambridge University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Another audience poll taken after the debate had ended, however, showed that the majority had reversed their pre-debate views. Sceptics were now the majority at 46% (a 17% increase), believers down to 42% (a 15% fall) and undecided now stood at 12% (a 2% fall).

Having lost the argument some global warming alarmists are now attempting to stifle the debate by declaring. “The debate is over!”
