A tax scam by any other name - is called, ‘Carbon Offsets’

As the editor of this little magazine I have an obligation, not only to my family, friends and neighbours but also to my country to fight against injustice, for law without justice becomes a whore, and the mistress of the highest bidder.

Councils have been given extraordinary new powers by DEFRA to force homeowners to buy ‘Carbon Offsets’ for using an outdoor barbeque.  These so-called Carbon Offsets will cost an estimated £5.00 and will allow people to cook 20 steaks or more if cooked rare.

This is great news for shareholders of Gasses R Us, a carbon trading company based in Somerset, from whom these offsets must be bought.

Councils will employ ‘barbeque inspectors who will have the power to enter our gardens and sniff around for any sign of unlicensed barbeque activity.

Even a burnt kebab stick could get you an on the spot fine of £50.

I wonder if David Milliband, and Ben Bradshaw have shares in Gasses R Us?

The rules come into immediate effect, despite being an unwarranted and unlawful intrusion into the privacy of the family.

But Global Warming is a lie, and it is now established that CO2 follows behind changes in temperature and so cannot cause it. Indeed one scientist is arguing that worryingly CO2 levels are at their lowest levels in recorded history, and that we should pay China to burn more coal as the biggest danger to life on this planet is global cooling.

The Met Office's Hadley Centre has predicted that if the Kyoto protocol was enacted completely then the increase in global warming temperatures, by the year 2050 would be 0.2%C and sea levels by the year 2050 could rise by 21 cm. that's right a massive 8.1/4", but on the other hand they could not rise at all, if the scientists who claim our temperatures are governed by solar radiation from the sun, over which we have no control, are right. To the clowns, Miliband, Bradshaw and Brown, however, missing a chance to impose a new tax just because the science of global warming is phoney. could not be tolerated.

Oh NO! It's April 1st, the buggers have been pulling our legs, it's all an elaborate joke. As though responsible politicians would impose a tax on such arrant foolishness, such as unilaterally taxing CO2 emissions while the rest of the world carried on regardless. No, they couldn't be so stupid, now could they?
