Everything you have been told about global warming is a lie.
Rising CO2 levels are not the cause of identical rises in global temperatures, but the result of them. The liar, Al Gore's, film 'An Inconvenient Truth' claimed the the 650,000 year-old ice-cores showed that rising CO2 levels were always followed by identical rises in global temperatures. However, when the British Government were taken to court, over plans to show the film in schools, its scientists and the makers of the film were forced to concede that the ice-cores actually showed that the reverse was true: over the last 650,000-years rising global temperatures were followed 800 - 2,000 years later by identical rises in the levels of CO2.
Therefore, as CO2 levels are the result of global temperature levels that occurred hundreds of years earlier, CO2 cannot be the cause of them. In 85,800 molecules of air, only 33 are CO2 molecules. Of those 32 are caused by Nature and only 1 can be attributed to mankind.
Yet, daily we are told we must reduce our CO2 levels to save the planet, but as you know, CO2 does not cause global warming and mankind only produces 1 of the 33 CO2 molecules in every 85,800 molecules of air. Do you really believe that mankind's 1 molecule of CO2 overheats 85,799 molecule of air, 94% of which are water vapour, while Nature's 32 molecules of CO2 do not?
Al Gore and his backers have made a multi-trillion-dollar business out of the Great Green Global Warming Con-Trick, and have no intention of allowing real science to intrude on their profits.
There has been no sudden upward surge in global temperatures, in fact over the last thirty years global temperatures have fluctuated by a mere 4/10 of a degree C.

Interestingly, while Obama's Government brands coal an enemy of mankind and so forces the share prices to an all time low, his main backer, George Soros, is quietly snapping up coal mining shares on the cheap. He's obviously heard of UCG (Underground Coal Gasification), a process that enables underground coal to be turned into gas without mining, that's the future of Western energy.
